Installation fails with error code 1603

Problem

Error in installation logs:

CustomAction CreateWebSiteWithCertificate returned actual error code 1603.

Reason:  The installer cannot find the communication certificate to use. It looks for a certificate in the Local Machine - Personal store were subject contains the ZervicePoint host name supplied as parameter to the installer.  Either the certificate is not present or if the certificate is issued by a CA then the issuer isn't trusted by the server.

Solution

On the ZervicePoint installation server, make sure that you have a certificate issued to the host name of the ZervicePoint web application installed in the local machine personal folder. Also, make sure that the issuer of this certificate is trusted by the server.
