New features and changes

Parallel activity can now contain any combination of activities

In previous versions, mixing approvals or manual tasks with other activity types in parallel branches was not allowed. The main reason being the risk of different branches updating the same variables leading to unpredictable results.

However, as this severely limits the usefulness of parallel activities, we have decided to remove the restriction and allow any combination of activities in multiple branches, but with the following warning if you add activities that update the data train to different branches;

Two or more branches have activities that update variables in the data train. If the same variable is updated by activities in different branches, the result becomes unpredictable because it may not be possible to determine the order in which the activities are performed.

This section provides information about issues with Zervicepoint that were known at the time of writing this document. These issues may not appear in the product documentation, and in some cases may contradict existing product documentation. Whenever possible, these issues will be addressed in later releases.
